Our Story

As healthcare providers, we have been addressing the healthcare disparities in our local communities and internationally since the early 1990’s.  Over time, we realized that healthcare was more than simply addressing the immediate needs of the community and to truly impact health, you need to address both the population and environment.  It was from this realization that we created Terra One Health.

Terra One Health understands the connection of human, animal and environmental health.  In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), more than half of all infections that people can get can be spread by animals.  Additionally, many animals and insects are indicator species, representing early warning signs of potential disease.

Terra One Health uses collaboration and a multidisciplinary approach with the overall goal to improve community health.  Many of our teams include researchers, scientists, laboratorians, physicians, and veterinarians working together towards the common goal of improving health.

What We Do

Terra One Health designs and implements programs that address healthcare disparities.  Understanding that public health outcomes are best addressed when focusing on prevention rather than just treatment.   Many of our programs utilize research as means to understand gaps in care and education.  We also use research to measure the impact of our programs.  Our research focuses on multiple sectors of healthcare and various areas of collaboration to help achieve our goals of using preventative strategies to improve overall health.
